Runtime version

Top

The runtime version is designed to provide your customer with a simulation of his future machine. This version does not support any editing. Therefore your customer cannot do anything wrong and the version does not need very much storage. We shrunk it as much as possible, but nevertheless it takes two 1.44 MB disks. You find it on the CD in the directory “runtime”. This directory contains two subdirectories which contain all files needed to create a runtime version of TrySim.

You can describe in the Project|Comment how to control your machine. Make sure that this window is open when saving the project the last time before copying it to the disk. If you do so the window will be automatically opened when your customer starts TrySim.

When arranging the windows take in mind that your customer may have another monitor resolution than you. Also, do not adjust the simulation rate too high. Your customer will need time to orientate himself, and a simulation adjusted rate too high will cause an unpleasant flicker on slow computers.

Consider to make use of attractors and 3-D viewpoints, both can also be activated by the PLC.

That are the steps to create the disks :

1. Copy the CONTENT of the directory Disk1 onto an empty 1.44 MB disk.

2. Copy the CONTENT of the directory Disk2 onto another 1.44 MB disk.

3. Copy the whole DIRECTORY containing your project onto the second disk and rename it to AUTOSTART.

Your project is to find under c:\program files\trysim\projects\YOURPROJECT

Finished !

If you want to test the disks you should NOT use the computer where TrySim is running on for that.

If you want to send your customer further versions of the project you have to send the project only. That fits always to a single disk or is to send by email in a few seconds.

Hints how to make the runtime version more usefull are very much appreciated.
