You see this edit window if you have marked several different elements and then selected 'edit'. When more than one element is marked you can only edit these properties that exist for all marked elements and have the same function. For example, turnable and not turnable elements can not be edited at the same time, because the position of the turnable ones indicates the middle while the position of the normal ones indicates the lower left corner.
If you want to change the speed of several conveyors for example you can only choose conveyors. For easier selection there are groups.
This edit mask also appears if you have marked several segments of a chain. Mark just one segment and try again.
