TrySim Lite – the students version of TrySim
What does TrySim Lite can?
TrySim is no learning program. From the beginning we did not created it like that. TrySim does not contain anything especially for learning, either.
Version V3.2 or V4.0?
The current version is V4.0 and we recommend it in the majority of cases. Only if you want to send projects to users of V3.2 this version should be used. Please mention it when ordering because then we have to send an old dongle.
Users of V3.2 can change to the new version by a simple download of V4.0.
TrySim Lite ist almost like the full version. The differences are:
- It only costs € 35 (Quantity discount, see below)
- It may only be used in private, not in firms, schools and other organisations.
- The programs generated with TrySim lite can not be exported, this means they can only be used to control machines within TrySim. The import of programs that have been written on another PLC development system is not possible, either. Furthermore the interface to real controllers which is important for professional usage is nonexistent.
But:
- With TrySim Lite you can construct and control machines of any size.
- You can write all types of building blocks (OB, FB, FC, DB) in STL, FBD or LAD.
- Of course you can save and print the program.
- You can consult us via email.
Since september 2008 we do no longer send CDs, but you have to download the software at tslitede.zip (4,6 MB). You receive the licence key (USB dongle) by post.
In september 2008 we have converted the sales of the lite version to avoid compatibility problems. Every student who has bought the lite version can now download the current version from the internet. If the school also has the current version a data exchange is possible in both directions. But many schools do not have the current version because they did not buy an update for years. We regret problems resulting from that, but we can not show consideration for this any more in the interests of our professional customers.
Why not use the free demo version?
For just exercising PLC programming and to see small, self-constructed and self-controlled machines in action, the demo version is completely sufficient.
However, we do not guarantee that projects created with the demo version are compatible with any other version.

Instructions on withdrawal
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Cephalos GmbH, Deichstraße 5, 26871 Papenburg, Germany, Email: info@cephalos.de) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or e-mail). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest. You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
